We welcome contributions to the Political Science Enrichment Fund, which is used to sponsor activities such as colloquia and educational/programming events.
In addition to various activities, we have special funds for our Undergraduate and Graduate students. These funds are used to help them in their quest for knowledge.

In addition to the Political Science Enrichment Fund, the Department, along with other sponsors, has established several other funds in memory of former faculty members and one graduate student.
The Fernandes Memorial Award was created in honor of its namesake, a beloved former graduate student and talented scholar. It is awarded irregularly to an exceptionally promising graduate student to support the completion of his or her dissertation. Please visit the UH Foundation to make a donation by credit card.
This fund was established by family, friends, and colleagues of the late Harry Friedman, former professor and department chair, and is awarded to a student in the graduate program for academic merit demonstrated by a research paper in the sub–field of Comparative Politics. This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate in their senior year. This student must show outstanding scholarship and performance in areas of political significance and they must have completed at least two courses in political theory.
